Types of class customizations

Progress Dynamics framework provides a number of classes that are used to define a collection of objects that you can use to build applications. These object classes are organized into a class hierarchy, and objects can inherit attributes and behavior from all the classes above them in the hierarchy.

When you customize an object class, the class hierarchy is extended to create or modify custom classes and to create new or modify existing attributes and associate them with classes you created. When customizing classes, you can customize them to change either the behavior of all the objects of the class or just some of the objects of the class.
